The cable running to my house has gone bad now 3 times in 2 years (they
have to come out an run new cable, bury it, etc).  The last time this
happened they charged me $150 for fixing it (since it had happed
before), even though since the cable is buried its not like Im the one
messing it up.  I had no problems using Linux or OpenBSD with the cable
modem besides that.  And besides the few rare outages and the annoying
swtich from @home to attbi.com and now to comcast.com its been fine.  

I just don't want to deal with them anymore...
