[NTLUG:Discuss] Mandrake Kernel Patch question

I've run Mandrake for years, but really can't help you here since the first 
thing I always do is ditch their kernel and build one from generic "stock" 
sources from kernel.org.

That's always been my approach to getting around having to deal with 
individual distro customized kernels.  I just personally would like to 
decide for myself how I want the kernel patched, if at all.
