OK, just for posterity sake, so I can come back and search the archives should 
I ever stupidly lose this info again. :-)  And so others can benefit...

The kwifimanager link lead me to the name "Jean_Tourrilhes", which sounded 
very familiar.  Going to his site, 
http://www.hpl.hp.com/personal/Jean_Tourrilhes/Linux/Tools.html, took me to 
Gabriel Cain's site for "XNetworkStrength"...the ``lost'' program.  Of course, 
there more tools on Jean's site than when I first went there, so I have plenty 
of tools to have fun checking out.
