If I understand this situation, SCO claims that linux
contains unlicensed SCO code in kernel 2.4 and above.
According to the article linux would have very little
scalability without the alleged System V code. but yet
IBM and others seem not that concerned about it. What
are the consequences if SCO is right ? what is the
likelyhood that SCO is right ? i do not know the law
regarding this, but if i understand the situation,
they claim someone snagged some of thier code
therefore they want to collect license fees from
everyone using it.
