Maybe I'm totally full of it but isn't coax if properly installed less
susceptible to the surge problem that most other cabling is susceptible to
do to the casing being grounded by default.

Subject: [NTLUG:Discuss] APC UPS XS1500 question

I looked at the APC UPS XS1500 at Best Buy, the specs on box said
it protects phone/dial up/DSL, but no mention of cable modem, so I
assume that's not protected. I've not ever had DSL, but I also assume
that uses a phone connector, rather than the network connector that
cable modem uses. I just want to double check this, cuz if it does in fact
protect cable modem, I'd like to get this device to protect some
home office equipment.
