You could always just change the server settings in the client to match 
who the certificate says it belongs to.

I just went through this with a guy who uses Outlook.  He was putting in 
the ip address for the mail server in his server settings, and Outlook 
would complain about the cert not matching.  Once he changed to the full 
machine name (mail.here.com), Outlook quit complaining.
