Wayne,

Go to Settings -> Mail Preferences, uncheck "use the same fonts as other
applications" and then try changing one or both of the fonts there:
Standard and Terminal and see if that fixes things.  I have never had a
problem with printing so I have not done this before.

Have you also checked the knowledge base on ximian.com for this issue?
