Requires wine AFAIK (asuume we're talking about HL as a client).
I haven't tried to do this (I don't own a copy of HL).

A friend of mine has tried Counter Strike with wine, but he
microphone wouldn't work, so he switched back to using
Windows for that.

I would get as much detail as you can about the wireless.  Even so,
there's a chance that you'll have to pull stuff down from the web
to get drivers (SuSE 8.2 does have fairly good wireless support
in general though).

Specifics, specifics, specifics.  Models, chipsets, whatever
info you can provide will really help out the folks in
the LIP.

Bring everything needed to setup, monitors, keyboards, mice, etc.
Bring your data printed out if possible about the specifics since
the LIP folks might not see your email before tomorrow.

Hopefully they'll be able to help you out (just remember, they're
volunteers and can't address every hardware scenario, just too many).
