Ok, this worked.  Thanks Kyle.  Now, I have a different problem.  I have
successfully been able to transfer the driver files to the Smoothwall
box to /tmp (the install is so minimal, it doesn't even have mkdir to
create a netdrivers directory, as the Linksys instructions recommend), I
untarred them, then ran into another snag when running make.  I get an
error that make does not exist.  How minimal can you get???  What if I
decided to recompile the kernal?  It doesn't appear I could.  I'm
leaning more and more to another firewall.  This is a ridiculous amount
of work just get the damned thing installed, much less configured.
