I second the IMAP approach to conversion. And you'll be surprised
about the space issues. Outlook's file layout is so wasteful of space
that I'd believe Microsoft secretly owns Seagate and Western Digital.
When I've tried this for people at my office, the resulting IMAP-built
mbox files are always quite a bit smaller than the Outlook PST files
they started with.
