I havent been following this thread. But it seems that you are looking
for VMWare alternatives.

Off hand these alternatives come to my mind,

Bochs - Open Source
Plex86 - Open Source
Virtuoozo - Proprietry.


Try evaluating them and suit your needs. My apologies if this mail

PS : I have a link to a Chinese site where you get cracks for VMWare.
But, I doubt you'll like that approach since its illegal.

I am creating a new thread about the photo/video s/w so that this thread
can stay true to it's subject line (ie: my original
request) of finding alternatives to VMWare that will run Photoshop AND
Leap Frog's JumpStart series. Failing to find something like that, I'll
have to cough up the $300 and buy VMWare's great product. Thanks. =TR=
