I too have spent time addressing this "fun" issue. I've been around the
block with RBL's, Spam Assassin type filters, and confirmation software.
The most accurate and reliable method I've found is in confirmation
software.
I use an open source package called Active Spam Killer. (a-s-k) Here is
the link. http://www.paganini.net/ask/ Have a look. I has worked
really well for me.
