Howdy,
   I have a ThinkPad 560Z that works great running SuSE 9.  I use the built 
in Trackpoint.  My mouse setting is PS/2, not IMPS/2.  Do you mean you 
can't move the mouse cursor around, or are you referring to scrolling in a 
Mozill window?  The former works fine.  The later is not feasible unless 
you have two trackpoints.  The trackpoint is supposed to replace the mouse 
cursor.  I have an external mouse with a trackpoint on it.  I can move it 
around on the table and move the mouse cursor while using the trackpoint to 
scroll in a window.
   I just got the sound working on the 560z today.  Now on the the 
challenge of playing quicktime videos.  After that I can get rid of one of 
my last Windows machines.
