RHL isn't dead... it's just called Fedora now and is more
community centered with more frequent updates. This
could be a good thing... especially for the home
user. About the only ones affected are corporations
who banked on RHL instead of moving to their RHEL
line of product.

For example.. for laptops... the latest set of ACPI
changes is usually a very big deal.. before, with RHL,
you pretty much had to wait for the next release
or hack the changes in yourself (which pretty much
made up2date useless ... might as well use any dist).
Now with Fedora, they can quickly update... EVEN
provide the updated ACPI stuff as a part of their
update mechanism (apparently that will be yum)...
quickly (well.. faster than RHL releases anyways).

Please give the Fedora stuff a try before making
any decision (if you liked RHL). As someone
already mentioned ISOs will be out soon... if
you don't have broadband.. just wait, Fedora
versions will start showing up from the normal
"consumer CD copy" vendors.
