Well, in this case, CBeyond is not just an office and a some staff. Well
they ARE but a bit bigger that just a FEW staff.

At anyrate, the customer has been reporting 'issues' with the VOIP lines
provided by CBeyond but has not yet ruled out their internal phone system.
Which brings us to the question of whether or not to put in a Linux based
PBX that would also allow for the use of 'trunks' located across internet
(or data) connections.

Usually you would expect the whole T1 to come down and not just the voice
side...so the reason of using remote trunks isn't exactly the
best...justification. Still, they may need a new phone system anyway.

Which leads me to the following questions. Has anyone else tried the
asterisk pbx ( www.asterisk.org ) and does anyone know of a trunk card that
can handle FOUR incoming lines? I can't go using four single line cards and
two (4-port) station cards! (I do-na 'ave da slots cap'in!)

BTW, CBeyond seems to be totally recovered now. It would be interesting to
know what exactly happened. (I hope they don't run there phone switches on
MS products.)
