There weren't any probs for me updating to the new X packages from an
existing 9.2 install.
As for going from 9.1 to 9.2 via an update, I didn't have any problems
with it. It's helpful to have a separate partition for your home
directory. Backups of the home directory and any other critical files
(/etc configs that have been customized) are always good things too.
The Mandrake 9 series strike me as a bit rushed at times. The RCs felt
rough around the edges compared to the 8.x RCs. But overall, it works
"good enough" for me and they are a good contributor to the Linux
community. So, I stick with them and shell out my $60 / year for a
Mandrake Club membership to help pay for the development effort.
