RedHat is stopping their 'end user' type support / model. 

The 'free' stuff is being dropped. 

Fedora is supposedly replacing the 'free' part of RedHat. 

As far as updates go... I've never used up2date and I've used
redhat since 4.something. up2date isn't needed. 

Now, I use red-carpet from Ximian. It lets you update the redhat
and fedora packages too. It ( for now ) is free to use also.
