[NTLUG:Discuss] Red Hat on Fedora

I think you all know I'm not RedHat's biggest fan.

The last Red Hat I ran (at home) was on my old Hitachi
notebook.. that was RH 5.0.

Whatever we think about Fedora/RedHat, pro or con, the
future success of RedHat is important because:
RedHat does Linux!

I would feel no differently if SUSE were dying because
Novell started "playing the corporate/investors-only game."
(not that Red Hat is dying... just saying that it's
important for Linux supporting companies to survive).

The good news, we have choices. We don't have to use
Red Hat.... we don't have to use Fedora... we don't have
to use SUSE... we don't have to use Mandrake... we don't
have to use Gentoo... we don't have to use Debian....

We use them because, for now, we like the particular
distribution.... things can change and obviously in
the case of most of these, we've seen MUCH change.

I wish Red Hat and the Fedora folks all the best.
I hope it works out well for them. I'm sticking with
SUSE for now.... it gives me less of a headache.
