My first guess would be that one of the computers is a Dell, which use
non-standard, proprietary power supplies.

Subject: [NTLUG:Discuss] OT:Hardware question
Hopefully someone can help out
computer A has power supply A
computer B has power supply B
power supply B works in computer A
power supply A works in computer B
power supply B works in computer B
power supply A DOES NOT work in computer A
Both computers run Linux (to keep on topic, sort of)
One more thing, computer A is so small that changing the power supply has
been
a bit of a task, I found a new one on the net , but it didn't work either
( power supply C in computer A )
Any tips, web sites to check ?
