I do have smtp authentication set up, with the password saved. I tried it
without it and it just asks for it. This is the same as on the Windows box.
Making an smtp server will require some Googling. I have never had to do that
before.

Yes, you are right. The POP3 server is postoffice.swbell.net, which is what I
am using. The smtp server name I am using is mail.swbell.net. I even tried
switching them, and that realy did not work.
