On a related note, I wanted to install an extension for Firefox 
(UserAgentSwitcher).  Whenever I tried installing it, Firefox would 
crash.  As a workaround, I used Firebird to install the extension.  
Once it successfully installed, the extension was then available to 
Firefox.  This was on a Mac OS X 10.2.8.
