[NTLUG:Discuss] OT: Compile problem on SGI IRIX 6.4 for Samba 2.0.4a

On running './configure' I got "ERROR: No Locking available. Running 
Samba would be unsafe"
'./configure | grep -i lock' gives me these few lines (complete output 
available on request):

checking for kernel oplock type definitions... no
checking for fcntl locking... no
checking for 64 bit fcntl locking... no
ERROR: No locking available. Running Samba would be unsafe
