Howdy,
I am unclear about a couple of things about your setup. If you can
clarify them, I think the problem will be closer to resolution. The
IPCop setup you have looks fine if you want to connect to the servers
from the outside world. When you try to connect from locally, you have
to get packets there somehow. If you coonect using the outside IP
address, you should expect the IPCOP machine to route to the orange zone
where your mail server is. If you are connecting using the private IP
address(192.168.2.x) then you need to do one of several things. You
could plug the servers into the same switch, or add a route on the IPCop
machine to route the internal packets, or other options. What IP
address do you want to use to connect from your local network? Do you
intend to connect to your mail server from the outside world, or are you
just setting it up so the MTA can get to the outside world?
Good luck,
Ralph
