While creating users, use </sbin/nologin> as the shell, instead of the
standard </bin/bash>. I also use </dev/null> as the "home" directory.

Good Luck,

Monty

Subject: [NTLUG:Discuss] Virtual Mail Users

I am running sendmail on RH 9 and would like to provide my users with POP3
accounts without providing them with an account they could use to get a
shell
on the mail server. I've googled extensively, but the information I've
gotten is obtuse at best. I am authenticating the users using Cyrus SASL
both for sending and receiving. Any suggestions or pointers to
documentation
are appreciated.

Sorry if this shows up twice.
