[NTLUG:Discuss] OT - anti-virus

Way off topic so please don't flame me ;o

I need to setup a real windows workstation inside of my firewall.  Since 
we WON'T be allowing Outlook (or any other MS mail agent) to be used, 
what are the real needs of anti-virus on this box?

For the last 2-3 years all of our MS usage has been from inside of 
VMware on Linux workstations for internal (non surfing) usage.  Virus 
fighting has not been an issue so I've not been keeping up on the tools.
