[NTLUG:Discuss] Wierd slowness problem with Suse 9.1

I've been trying a little Suse 9.1 Pro too.   Lots of irritations and
brokeness.  Latest was playing a shoutcast mp3 stream thru xmms, regardless
of station, would play great for exactly 300 seconds, then start stuttering
and hanging, same symptoms as buffer under-run - no matter what other
things I was doing, or not doing, on the system in that 300 seconds.  The
only way to reset it was hitting the xmms play button.   Midi-man Delta 410
sound card.  I couldn't find anything on the internet about it.   Blame the
2.6 scheduler?
