That's extremely good news.
Very a smart move on the part of the French Government, maybe some of 
the others will follow suit.
I for one am very proud of Mandrake. I think they are a very good 
distribution.  I've not seen any of the commercial products but have 
explored the last few versions of their desktop offerings and the 
install process always just worked flawlessly, was very user friendly, 
just an all around excellent representative of Linux OS and apps. If any 
of you haven't tried Mandrake lately, I highly recommend it.
