[NTLUG:Discuss] Help! I'm under attack by my ISP!

I don't understand the big negative fuss about Comcast - maybe I'm just
lucky. I've had both CHSI and the Digital Platinum T.V. for about a year
and a half now... started off with the provided Motorola speedstream
{whatever} modem, and moved to a cisco ubr924 - no problem with provisioning
or anything. I get consistent 500KB/s download speed, and usually have my
connection running ~350KB/s 24/7. Except for the occasional power outage,
I've never had lost service at all. The only problem I've had is not being
able to get channels 2-5, and that turned out to be horribly old wiring in
my apartment complex.

My two cents :)

Be glad you didn't have to settle for Charter Cable.
They had a 30 day free trial promotional (TV) awhile back so I thought
I'd try it.
I had it turned on for 28 days. Of these 28 days, I could actually watch
TV for 8 of them.

They DID offer to adjust the bill for any days I couldn't watch tho if
I signed up.
When I asked if they could guarantee that all the shows I wanted to see
would be played on the days I had service, the rep couldn't understand
what I meant.
