The only problem I had with rebates was with Western Digital. I bought a mess
of components back in Feb and received all rebates promptly (including Google
Hacks from O'reilly - 15 dollars 15 dollar rebate).WD kept giving me hassle
about the wrong rebate form (Fry's gave me the wrong one) Then I submitted
the right one and they claimed the "capacity label" was not for the HD I
bought. I finally got to a manager and was told to go to Fry's with a
tracking number and have them give me the rebate. They did - 50 dollars and
even gave me the tax back on the 50 bucks.
Overall I have had great rebate success. YMMV
