that sounds familiar.  I'm not sure but I think the XAUTH lines in
vpnc.conf are only if you're connecting to a trusted X server.  My
workplace connects thru Windoz Terminal Services instead, so I just removed
those 2 lines and used rdesktop to finish the connection.
