[NTLUG:Discuss] New to the list and need Hylafax help

Hi--
 
I'm new to this list but am an avid Linux fan. However, I have never had the luxury of taking enough time to become proficient in using Linux.
 
I talked our management into letting me set up a Hylafax fax server to handle mainly incoming faxes. I have it up and running, but am having problems getting fax delivery set up properly.
 
What I really want to do is have Hylafax save the fax as a pdf in a user directory and send a network message to the Win2K network user that he/she has a new fax waiting.
 
In the meantime, I could use email to deliver the fax, but our corporate office is about to deny us access to an SMTP smarthost (and I can't seem to get it to work anyway) so I prefer to go straight to the previously mentioned option. But that requires scripting way beyond my capability.
 
If anybody can help, please let me know.
