[I apologize in advance for posting this on the discuss m/l...it's
pretty time-critical and has been sitting in the jobs moderation queue
for 3 days now...]
I am looking for one adjunct (part-time) instructor to teach in the new LAMP
program for the Spring semester. Contract pay for the semester is approx.
$3360, paid in 3 or 4 equal monthly payments. The person selected for this
position MUST meet the following criteria, at a minimum:
1. Experience with Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP. You don't have to be an
expert, but you must be able to demonstrate proficiency in all four subject
areas. The person I'm looking for will be teaching a MySQL course.
2. Willingness to teach evenings, from 5:45-10:30, either MW or TR, with a
rotating "open lab" on Fridays (probably every 3rd or 4th Friday), same
time.
3. Willingness to develop curriculum for the course you will teach based
upon course textbooks, available hardware, input from other instructors, and
industry practice.
4. A degree in CS/CIT/MIS/IT or related discipline (this is a state
requirement).
5. Ability to meet with myself and the dean of the department sometime next
week.
6. Although teaching experience is not required, preference will be given
to those who have demonstrated teaching skills, whether in the corporate or
academic environment.
If interested, please respond OFF-LIST with a copy of your resume (please,
no Word attachments!) and contact info. I will be making a selection
early next week, so if contact me prior to next Monday if you're interested.
