A more correct statement would be it presents itself when X is in use,
and from what we know it appears that it is not display driver specific.
However I wonder what version of X SuSE 9.1 is using? 9.2 is using a
version from x.org
Vendor string is: The X.org Foundation
Vendor Release number is: 60,801,000
Version Number 11.0
While I agree it would be nicer if nvidia open sourced their driver I
would be reluctant to jump all over it until we can prove that is the
source of the problem.
What one of us should try the next time it happens is plugging in a USB
keyboard when it happens, and see if the problem is cleared, or
continues to exist, or if the USB keyboard works and the PS2 continues
to not work. That would provide some interesting info.
Remember X adds it's own keyboard handling so that could be the problem
all by itself.
Cheers,
David
