The link is:

http://www.fedora.us/ "select Fedora HOWTO" in the top middle of the page.

That selection takes you to a page where you can select and download a
configuration file.

I recommend you do the Red Hat 9 to Fedora Core 1 with apt-get unless
you have a yum.conf you know will work. I've done it both ways and
apt-get worked better on my cranky machine than yum. Once I got Fedora
Core 1 installed via apt-get upgrade I used which ever one worked
best.

The first time I did the apt-get upgrade from Red Hat 9 to Fedora Core
1 it appeared to work successfully but it really did not. I had to do
it again. Just a glitch in my system. It worked fine the second time.
The "splash" page for any Fedora Core release is quite different from
the Red Hat one. It says Fedora Core on the "splash" page.

The upgrade from Fedora Core 1 to Fedora Core 2 or 3 can be done with
yum if you can find a yum.conf for those releases or feel like
modifying the one you have. This is because yum comes installed on
those release.

I found the apt-get or yum upgrade from Fedora Core 2 to Fedora Core 3
worked fine but the RPM repositories were not as up to date as the
Fedora Core 3 CDs. An example is Mozilla Firefox. It's on the CDs but
not in the repositories. It could be now. There were many other things
I noticed at the time that the Fedora Core 3 CDs gave me.

It is good experience doing the apt-get or yum upgrade if you have
another machine to use if it fails.

Thanks,

Robert
