The whole "region free" thing is pretty nice. Then there's the
fact that computer monitors have always been remarkably better
quality and higher resolution. Then there's the fact that you
can play PAL dvd's at their native resolution rather than
downsampling.

Then there's the fact that any software decoder is more
robust than the cheaper consoles which tend to flake out
on certain disks.

We had to let one of our consoles play through Return of the
Archons before it would let us play the other tracks on the
same disc.
