[NTLUG:Discuss] ubuntu anyone

I have tried Ubuntu on several computers (1 desktop and 2 laptops) and 
there seems to be a consistent problem with getting the right display 
resolution for X.  Also, the integrated wlan on one of the laptops (an 
AMD64 emachine) didn't get detected, which isn't a huge surprise 
considering that the wlan support in Linux outside of a handful of well 
sought-after cards, requires Barnum and Bailey style workarounds.

Has anyone else had good luck with this distro?  I see that it is very 
popular on the net.
