It is possible that it is a problem with memtest86.  It has been
known to have problems with new platforms in the past.

Can't say.  What might help is know the motherboard model.  That might
turn up others who are experiencing problems with it as well.

Apart from that... you might have a real problem, just not sure
where it is.
