Rev wRy:
I have tail -f /var/log/maillog running and all I see are messages like
this:
May 12 13:17:38 www sendmail[3922]: j4CIHcSu003922: [192.168.1.10] did not
issue MAIL/EXPN/VRFY/ETRN during connection to MTA
I have clamav and a custom milter running. I took them both out
of the .mc file, recompiled the .cf file, and restarted sendmail.
Nothing changed.
I diabled the firewall and nothing changed.
To test the network load, I have disconnected everything
except the Linux box and my laptop that I am using to test.
I don't see a lot of activity on the switch, so I don't think
it is network load on the internal network.
As far as dns resolution, I did several digs from from the Linux
machine and they come back quickly. I did several nslookups from
my local machine and they come back quickly.
There are no messages sitting in the mail queue.
I can get incoming email just fine.
I disabled the firewall and nothing changed.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Neil
