I'm using omni-compiled, HP LaserJet 4 Plus/4M. I tried ljet4 on your
suggestion, but there is no difference in results.
Incidentally, I do have the PostScript option installed on my printer.
So, I would appreciate any advice on setting up printer configuration to
accept postscript or other in FC3.

As for configuration, I'm using the printer configuration tool in Gnome.
That should be right, but maybe not. Also, CUPS gets in the act I
suspect.
The problem seems to be that the GCC people (Stallman?) formatted the
darned thing for A4. I do set letter size. The effect is the top of the
page is lopped off, which for this document includes the page number and
a part of the title.
I am beginning to suspect a Postscript A4 cannot be printed properly as
letter size.
