[NTLUG:Discuss] Placing out feelers

I have a project in mind and I am seeking potential assistance. I am looking
into helping out some local charity groups in getting low cost legacy systems
into the homes of low income families and it dawned on me that Linux is a
really powerful tool in that regard. I may be able to get my hands on some
hardware and may need (depending on the number of units) some assistance
loading Linux OS's onto these systems.
I want to get a class together for new Linux users and am in process of
procuring that resource as well. I believe I can handle that aspect but I am
always open to any giving souls that wish to offer their time and expertise
in teaching low income students and families the Linux way.
The truth be told any one that becomes proficient in Linux will be well
equipped to handle MS (if need be) and as we know will likely be unimpressed
with MS' limitations ha! But none the less we suited for system usage in the
school or workplace.
So I guess I am not asking for promises at this point, only a nod of interest.
Thanks!
