Howdy,
  Backing up the whole drive to one image is a little faster, but has a
significant potential problem.  You have to restore it to a drive with
the same geometry as the backup.  I have seen restoring a file made on a
40 gig seagate to a 40 gig western digital fail for that reason.  It
might be ok for Bradley, because he will be restoring to the same exact
drive.
