I would think that's a true statement. After the early Celeron
mistake (where the Celeron actually out performed the PII on many
if not most benchmarks), Intel has made sure that the Celeron is
a "poor" performing part. I'd opt for the Sempron over the Celeron.
I have not heard of any great Celeron overclocking stories since
those early days.
Just my observation.
