My new camera produces pics at much better rez and therefore bigger
files. It's also a lot faster than my old one (even in RAW mode) which
results in me taking a lot more pics. To sort through them, I am currently
using GQview 1.5.2. It takes over 2 secs to view each pic. It does gen
thumbs on-the-fly, if you wait. Even so, to see the pic bigger, you wait
for it to display (2+ secs for each).

I'm interested in hearing what free (or extremely low cost) software you
use. Something fast that lets you pick from thumbs and ideally providing
the means of moving selected pics to a different directory. I currently
sort by means of a dir tree.

Details:
Mandrake 10.2 (KDE 3.2.3) on a 2500 AMD, 1G RAM, and Geforce 5700(?)
