[NTLUG:Discuss] DNS To Virtual Host Question

I am taking my very first swing at configuring DNS; I am setting up my  web site on a Virtual server. I am part way there, but having issues I  don't quite understand after all the reading I've been able to do so  far.
  
  I'm using www.everydns.net for domain name services. I am trying to setup these two virtual domains:
  
  www.ideastream.com
  catapult.ideastream.com
  
  www.ideastream.com does resolve, although
  http://dnsreport.com says there's a slight misconfiguration (but maybe I'll get to that down the road.)
  
  My main concern is catapult.ideastream.com doesn't resolve at all.
  
  dnsreport.com shows lots of red when I put that URL in.
  
  I've tried to follow the examples given in everydns' FAQ pages for A  and CNAME and all, but I've not been able to puzzle it all out yet.  Here's a tally of the setup I've got:
  
  Host: catapult.ideastream.com
  Type: CNAME
  Value: ideastream.com
  TTL: 3600
  
  Host: ideastream.com
  Type: A
  Value: 65.254.63.231
  TTL: 3600
  
  Host: www.ideastream.com
  Type: CNAME
  Value: ideastream.com
  TTL: 3600
  
  Hopefully I've made a glaring error that jumps out to someone who knows this stuff.
