[NTLUG:Discuss] Where is info on Postfix's reject_unlisted_recipient access restriction?

The only thing Google will tell me is blurb from the man page about the 
smtpd_reject_unlisted_recipient option that rejects mail for unknown 
recipient addresses even when no explicit reject_unlisted_recipient 
access restriction is specified.

I can't find a hit on what the 'reject_unlisted_recipient' restriction IS.

I've even combed "The book of POSTFIX".pdf and there are no hits in that 
PDF either.

This almost feels like giving a definition of a word using the word 
itself!   Very......cryptic...

May I join the club please??  Will someone clue me in?
