One of the reasons from the piece on Slashdot was this, "One reason: 
SuperFetch, which fetches applications and data, and feeds them into RAM 
to make them accessible more quickly."  Sort of makes you glad for the 
concept of "Do one thing, and ONLY one thing, and do it well."  Peace,
