Don't buy the cheapest monitor. Buy the one that is made by the same
manufacturer and seems to look the same size and all but is more
expensive for reasons no one seems to understand.
I have bought some inexpensive LCD displays in the recent past and the
color differentiation was TERRIBLE. I don't know how to describe it but
it seems to me that it displayed far less than 64k colors let alone a
million colors or whatever. It's often a good indication of quality
when it has DVI input as well as VGA...but not always.
Viewsonic is and always has been a pretty safe choice if you want to go
with name brand.
