[NTLUG:Discuss] question on kernel module config files

alright, maybe i've overlooked it but havent found the answer to this
question on google. this is for a CIS class i am taking and am at a loss
on where else to look/ask. when discussing kernel modules why is alias
pre-remove and post-install used in the config file???

as i said i havent found any good ref on google. maybe im just not
hitting the right search criteria but....
