[NTLUG:Discuss] PCIE Network Card Recommendation

Howdy,
  This all seems pretty reasonable.  Of late production PCI cards,
Intel, including gig-E card seem to be top notch.  I am curious if
people are getting better throughput on these gig-E PCIE cards.  It does
seem that plain PCI cards are constrained by the bus speed.  Does the
PCIE card perform twice as fast?
