[NTLUG:Discuss] Need new ISP

Howdy,
August.net is now part of Nationwide.net. There are good and bad
things about them. One bad thing was mentioned by MadHat. They have no
techs on site. I have to go downtown and through multiple layers of
security to get to my servers. But, I think the security is a good
thing. Your rep should be able to give you the combination to your cage
and to your rack(separate locks). And except for one outage of a few
hours that they never really explained, the network performance has been
great. Under some conditions, I would recommend them for a business
that needs a reliable ISP.
Maybe Dennis(one of our members) will start up another ISP. There was
probably a non-compete for some period of time, but that has got to be
running out soon.
Good luck,
Ralph
